Vienna Aquatic Club

Group lessons are held Monday to Thursday, 10:30 to 11:00 AM, for a two-week, eight-lesson session.

Session 2: July 1 - July 11, Monday to Wednesday and Friday* (week 1) and Monday to Thursday week 2) -- *No lesson on Thursday, July 4th, make up on Friday

Session 3: July 15 - July 25, Monday to Thursday

Again this year, VAC members and leaseholders are welcome to join for early morning masters swimming. This practice is coached by the NextWave Mastersf and is made available at no extra cost to VAC members/leaseholders.

 

The schedule is:

 

- Monday, Wednesday, Friday 5:00am-6:15am

 

- every week; June, July and August

 

Lane space is also available these times for adult members/leaseholders who wish to swim "on their own".

Exact start date will depend on water temps... after the pool opens, watch for updates!

The VAC Board meets monthly (except for December and August).

Due to an events at Vienna Aquatic Club on Saturday, July 28, the pool will close at 5pm.

However, VAC Members and Leaseholders may attend Dunn Loring pool from 5pm-9pm on Saturday, July 28th

Due to multiple events, VAC will be open from around 2pm until 5:00pm.

Interested in an August Pass at VAC?

The August Pass allows you and the members of your household to use the VAC facilities during its normal operating hours from August 1 through Labor Day. The fee for an August Pass is described on the Fees page.

(There is no prorated payment amount for an August pass -- if you are only using it for certain weeks --  and there are no refunds.)

A limited number of August Passes are available each year. August Passes are offered on a first-come, first-served basis; users agree to abide by normal VAC rules. August Passes are reallocated each year. That is, having an August Pass in a particular year has no bearing on getting an August Pass in subsequent years.

At the July Board meeting, the Board voted to adopt a set of policies related to scheduled parties at VAC.

These policies clarify existing practices related to parties and provide for consistency and transparency.

Our early morning Masters swimming takes a summer holiday during the week of Aug 7 through Aug 13.

We're back up and swimming again on the morning of Tuesday Aug 15

As you may, or may not, be aware, on Monday June 26 soon the Town of Vienna begins a three month long road and sidewalk renovation project on Marshall Road that will result in Marshall Road becoming a one-way street eastbound between Nutley Street and Ware Street (see https://www.viennava.gov/DocumentCenter/View/3249 for a detailed plan and https://www.viennava.gov/index.aspx?NID=888 for background on the project.

For a portion of this project (probably late July to early August), the western exit from Vienna Aquatic Club's parking lot (nearest Pickett Place) will be closed and the eastern entrance to the parking lot will be expanded and used as both an entrance and exit.

We ask that all of our members and their guests be patient during this period.

UPDATE:  Originally, we were told this work would begin on Monday June 26... However, on Friday, June 23, we received notice that the project start is delayed due to "unforeseen utility conflicts".  So while there may be utility work on Marshall Road in the near future, the big project will be delayed.
